I felt that everywhere was red and dirty, but when I took a rest and inspected it, there was a small notch in my fingertip and blood was bleeding.
I didn’t know when I was injured. I didn’t hit my hand against a hard, pointed object, but I think my fingertips got caught somewhere and there was a notch.
When I pushed the injured part, I felt a slight pain. I was so absorbed in something that I didn’t feel any pain.
It happened when I was a kid, but I was having fun playing with my friends, and somehow I hit a boy’s face with my hand.
Blood came out of the child’s nose. A few drops of blood dripping around the chest of the shirt the child was coming from.
The child was laughing. If he had stopped laughing, I would have bleeded too.
Even now, decades later, I still remember that and flash back about once every few days.
The scars in my heart never disappear.
One of the reasons I suffer from trauma is that I suspect that the child still remembers being beaten by me.
No, it’s not about forgetting or remembering, it’s about whether you’ve already forgiven or not.
If you listen to my wishes, I want to plead: Please don’t forgive me.
If you forgive my rudeness, I will quickly forget the trauma.
I want to avoid that. Because I still want to believe that I am your companion.
