Romantic feelings cannot be defined objectively and holistically by anyone

He opens a new dating profile....

He sits at his desk, staring at the photo of his smiling toddler. He remarried last year, and suddenly he had a child. But now, he’s looking for a third wife.

His smartphone sits in the middle of mugs, donut halves, tissue paper, and permanent marker pens. It’s almost always left in the middle of his desk, like a forgotten afterthought.

He’s not sure why he’s looking for a third wife. Maybe he’s not happy with his current one. Maybe he’s just addicted to the thrill of the chase. Whatever the reason, he’s determined to find her.

He starts by looking online. He creates profiles on dating sites and apps, and he browses through the profiles of other women. He’s looking for someone who is beautiful, intelligent, and kind. But most importantly, he’s looking for someone who is willing to overlook his past.

He goes on a few dates, but none of them are a good fit. He’s starting to get discouraged. Maybe he’s asking for too much. Maybe he’s not ready for a third marriage.

But then, he meets her. She’s everything he’s ever wanted in a woman. She’s beautiful, intelligent, and kind. And she’s willing to give him a chance.

They start dating, and they quickly fall in love. He tells her about his past, and she doesn’t judge him. She sees the good in him, and she believes that he can change.

They get married a few months later. He’s finally found his third wife.

But he knows that their marriage won’t be easy. He has a lot to prove. He has to show her that he’s changed, and that he’s worthy of her love.

He looks down at the photo of his toddler. He knows that he has to do this for his child. He has to be a better man.
