I had to unscrew a lot of screws when I took my old sewing machine apart.
The sewing machine had been assembled several decades ago, so it was not easy to remove the metal screws that had dug into the wood.
The groove on the head of the screw is either negative or positive. Even if I stuck a screwdriver in there and turned it, it would only crush the groove carved into the screw.
In order to turn the screw without crushing it, you have to press the screwdriver against the head of the screw and turn it with extremely strong force.
I’m not good at heavy lifting, so I had a lot of trouble.
- What is the difference between prediction and prejudice
- Prediction and prejudice are both concepts related to thinking about the future, but they have different meanings.
A prediction is a guess or prediction that suggests the likelihood that an event will occur. This may be based on historical data, current trends, statistical data, etc. Forecasts are made to make more reasonable and accurate decisions.
A prejudice, on the other hand, is a stereotyped or biased view of a group or people. It can be shaped by individual experiences and biases, including cultural, social, racial and religious factors. Prejudices can influence people’s judgments and decisions, which may be based on inaccurate information.
In other words, predictions are speculations about the future based on objective, rational grounds, and prejudices are subjective, biased stereotypes.
