Believe that satellitization of operations has hidden benefits

NASA lent satellite broadcasting technology to India for one year in 1975. This was intended to broadcast an educational program, which could be viewed in remote parts of India. The technology costs $ 400 million, in line with the Apollo program.

The first Indian satellite was launched by a former Soviet launch vehicle. The purpose of the satellite was to study space X-rays and solar system physics. Then, in 1979, the second satellite was launched. At this time, two earth monitoring satellites were launched. Both launches used the former Soviet launch vehicles, but in 1983 most launch vehicles were made in India. Recently, 13 Indian satellites are operating in geosynchronous orbit. In summary, India has successfully completed more than 100 launch missions, of which two-thirds are due to Indian rockets.

Only one Indian flew into space. In 1984 he flew through space with a former Soviet rocket.

Chandrayaan-2, India’s first lunar exploration program, consisted of a satellite, a lander, and a lunar rover. The lunar exploration was abandoned, but the satellite is still operational. ISRO is continuing to analyze landing aircraft failures. According to the official announcement, something went wrong during the descent of the landing aircraft. On December 2, NASA released footage of the accident site, but no landing aircraft was found. ISRO is looking for a landing aircraft from satellite images.

Data from the landing aircraft has ceased, but satellite data has been sent until just before the accident.

ISRO is reviewing data from the landing aircraft

They compare the planned descent route with the actual route to determine when trouble has occurred. It has been confirmed that the landing aircraft could be affected by vibrations, shocks, heat, etc.
The first anomaly, that is, 12 minutes after the deviation from the scheduled route is recognized, is attracting attention. This first incident would have triggered a second major deviation.

The ISRO does not refute those who call the failure of lunar exploration a “failure,” but has learned much from Chandrayaan-2.
The initial purpose of the ISRO was to set the path for India’s space program. In recent years, India has put artificial satellites in geosynchronous orbit, which has been useful for weather observations such as monsoon countermeasures, telephone, broadcasting and Internet services. It is also used in agriculture, such as creating distribution maps of forest and water resources.

ISRO’s founding leaders also led projects such as nuclear, space, and electronics, and worked with NASA to build a rocket launch station in southern India. Completion of the base brought Indian scientists working outside India back home.
Engineers also aimed to “make India” satellites and launch vehicles in geosynchronous orbit. Many countries have supported Indian space technology. The United States has provided launch vehicles. The former Soviet Union cooperated with India on geostationary satellite operation systems, and France and other European countries cooperated with India on satellite launch technology.

Call centers are usually located in rural areas. It is a satellite away from the head office function.

Of course, for a variety of reasons, such as low labor costs and building rents

However, I believe that satellitization of operations has hidden benefits. That is, it is resistant to disasters. For example, if the head office function is stopped due to the earthquake, if the remote satellite office is not damaged, the business can be continued. Conversely, if a satellite office goes down, you can simply rent a warehouse at another location and draw a phone line to complete the second satellite office.
It is the theory that dispersing an organization makes it more resistant to disasters.

Since its founding in 1969, ISRO has made significant achievements in its orbit around Mars, the orbit of the Moon with Chandrayaan-1 and experiments. India is now working on a human space flight in 2022.
However, the Indian lunar landing failed in September, and the “Chandrayaan-2” mission and Indian lunar flight program have reached a turning point. This failure has taught the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) space program a major lesson.

How India's moon crash wasn't really a failure (op-ed) | Space
How India’s moon crash wasn’t really a failure (op-ed) | Space… This analysis would include controlled start of the descent stage and the 12 minutes of data transmitted before communication was lost. …

There was a quiet young man. He didn’t speak much. He was so reluctant that I joked and managed to get a chance to communicate. So one day he talked about his part-time experience. Has such a quiet guy ever worked? What was he doing? What were you doing
“I was part-time at a call center.” Call center? That’s what keeps talking on the phone, right? I couldn’t believe it at once. I could not see the picture where he was talking to people. People don’t depend on their appearance.
But, thinking about it later, wasn’t his heart broken and silenced by a part-time job at the call center? If so, I can’t say anything.

That’s it for today’s post. Thank you
