Know much about this city

“You’re out of luck. I’m the only one in this restaurant right now, so it’ll be a little late to finish cooking. Could you wait a minute?”

It does not matter. Even if I pointed it out sternly, the manager wouldn’t notice the reason for the slow cooking.
The slow cooking isn’t because you’re the only one cooking. The work is delayed because your hands move too slowly.
Without daring to say what I wanted to say, I smiled vaguely and went out to the front of the store to feel the night breeze.

What makes the truth look so real?

The only reason the truth looks real is because of its information density.
When information is close to each other they are referenced in association, but when they are sparse they are not considered true.
Or, at least, we dislike unrelated information.

I don’t know much about this city. For some reason, I often come here at night. There is a big park here, a big river, and you can see the shadow of a small mountain.
I wonder why so few people walk the streets of this city on holiday nights. I wonder if people live in this town.
And why is this restaurant open on such a shabby street corner? Through the window, I could see him mixing something with the flour, baking it, and pouring the sauce over it.

After all, what is truth?

So when information density is high and it creates a connection, we accept it easily.
In short, only information that is easy to understand is likely to be accepted as truth.

“Why are you saying such awful things? There’s no reason why a lazy person like you can say such things.”
About 10 minutes later, when I returned to the store, there were two salesclerks and three customers. Two of them were an old couple.
The old couple were arguing at the table. The old lady is scolding the old gentleman as she uses a spoon to bring the food to her mouth.
A young man was sitting at the counter seat. The old couple’s argument must have been annoying to him.
