Why no one should ever lie:

And sometimes, the most important thing in life is to find your family....

Once upon a time, there was a man who had recently remarried and suddenly found himself the stepfather to a two-year-old toddler. His wife had also been divorced once, and they had both found themselves in a similar situation.

The man was a bit of a mystery. He didn’t talk much about his past, but it was rumored that he had been violent in his previous marriage. Whatever the reason for his divorce, he had been able to remarry quickly, and now he seemed to be on the lookout for a third wife.

One day, the man’s wife left him alone with the toddler. She went out to run errands, and the man was left to his own devices. He didn’t know what to do with the child. He had never been around children before, and he didn’t know how to play with him.

The toddler wandered around the house, getting into everything. He knocked over mugs, spilled coffee, and drew on the walls with permanent marker. The man tried to keep up with him, but it was no use. The toddler was too fast and too curious.

After a while, the man gave up. He sat down at his desk and put his head in his hands. The toddler came over to him and climbed up onto his lap. The man looked down at the child and sighed. He didn’t know what he was doing.

The toddler looked up at the man and smiled. He reached out and touched the man’s face. The man felt a warm feeling in his chest. He realized that he cared about this child, even though he didn’t know him very well.

The man picked up the toddler and held him close. He decided that he would try his best to be a good stepfather to this child. He would learn how to play with him and teach him things. He would be there for him, no matter what.

The man’s wife came home a little while later. She found the man and the toddler sitting on the couch, playing together. The man was smiling, and the toddler was laughing. The woman smiled too. She knew that her husband had finally found his place in the world.
