Majority Voting: Specific Circumstances

If we are willing to put in the work, we can overcome our past and build a better life for ourselves and for the people we love.….

The man sat at his desk, his phone in his hand. He stared at the photo of the toddler on the screen, his thumb absently tracing over the child’s smiling face. It had been a year since he had remarried, and he had been so happy to finally have a child of his own. But now, as he looked at the photo, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt.

He had divorced his first wife because of his violence, and he knew that he had a lot to prove to himself and to his new wife. He wanted to be a good husband and father, but he was afraid that he would slip up and hurt them again.

He put his phone down and stood up, pacing around the room. He needed to do something to make things right. He needed to find a way to control his anger and to be the man that his new family deserved.

He went to the window and looked out at the city below. The sun was setting, and the sky was ablaze with color. It was a beautiful sight, but the man couldn’t enjoy it. All he could think about was the mistakes he had made in the past and the fear that he would make them again.

He took a deep breath and turned away from the window. He knew that he couldn’t change the past, but he could change his future. He was determined to be a good husband and father, and he would do whatever it took to make that happen.

The man picked up his phone and looked at the photo of the toddler again. This time, he smiled. He knew that he could do this. He would be the man that his new family deserved.
