Thrill Interest

He had found a new kind of thrill in being a father.….

The man’s phone was always a mess. There were mugs, donut halves, tissue paper, and permanent marker pens scattered all over his desk. But one thing that stood out was the photo of a smiling toddler that was set as his wallpaper.

The man had recently remarried, and his new wife had a child from a previous relationship. The toddler was two years old, and the man was still getting to know him. He had heard rumors that the reason the man’s first wife had divorced him was because of his violence, but he didn’t know for sure.

The man was a bit of a thrill-seeker. He had always been drawn to activities that were outside of his comfort zone, and he loved the feeling of adrenaline. He had gone skydiving, bungee jumping, and even whitewater rafting.

But now that he had a child, he was starting to think about his own mortality. He didn’t want to do anything that would put his child at risk, and he was starting to wonder if he was too old for thrill-seeking.

One day, the man was sitting at his desk, looking at the photo of his toddler. He thought about all the things he wanted to do with his son, and he realized that he didn’t want to miss out on anything. He decided that he was going to give up thrill-seeking for good.

It wasn’t easy at first. The man had to resist the urge to go skydiving or bungee jumping every time he saw an ad for it. But eventually, he got used to his new lifestyle. He started spending more time with his son, and he even started to enjoy the slower pace of life.

One day, the man was taking his son to the park when he saw a group of people skydiving. He felt a pang of nostalgia, but he knew that he was making the right decision. He was content with his new life, and he didn’t want to risk anything that would change that.
