Hold a mug full of hot coffee

I just want to avoid asking him that.....

“War, coronavirus, fuel costs. These three hit us at the same time. We couldn’t do anything about it.”

The tip of his nose was red, though it wasn’t just because of the intense cold.
He’s holding a mug full of hot coffee in his hands, looking cold.
It looked like he was smiling at me, but he even looked like he was crying. Is it because of the cold? Or even wonder if this is his natural face.

Will glorious achievements help us?
Brilliant achievements are the object of admiration for everyone. Not many would deny this.
The price that many people get as a result of working is wonderful, but surprisingly, the results do nothing for us.
The reason that achievements are worth nothing in this way is that they are always things that happened in the past.

“Last summer’s bonus was reduced to one-tenth of what it used to be. It’s a mess. Don’t you think that meant a de facto termination?”
I hesitated to give an immediate answer. If I said something by mistake, he might cry.
Well, I think that travel agencies, which are representative of the sloppy industry, rise in the good times and disappear when the comfortable times are over.

what are we living for
The past disappears in an instant, leaving only the present. We have to live in the present.
For what? It’s for the future, right?
If we think so, the future will help us. At the very least, it helps us break with the past.

My buddy, the economy is going to get even worse in the future. I don’t know what will happen to the travel agency he worked for. I just want to avoid asking him that.

are you smiling
