I was chatting with a person. The middle-aged woman, who was an insurance salesman, retired. The reason for retiring was “I didn’t like to cheat.”
I’m originally not good at selling anything. Providing goods and services and receiving fees and payments as consideration. It’s a simple task. Why can’t I do something so simple? Is it personality?
Of course, business is an important gear in society. However, there is no business person in my family.
However, I had a part-time job selling at a store. At the grocery store, the products are displayed at the store. The locations where meat, vegetables, seafood, cereals, etc. were placed were shown and I was instructed to display them. After that, the store manager came and checked the displayed products.
The store manager stood a few meters away from the product, silently looked at the product and rearranged some. He said nothing.
Perhaps he had his own logic regarding how to display the products. The manager cannot explain the logic easily. This is because the display method is determined by the combination of such factors as the season, the time of day, the mood of visitors, and the line of sight of people who came in front of the store.
