I had the opportunity to sort out what was a year ago, and when I reconstructed what I was doing a year ago, I felt that I was working pretty well.
year | a year | 10 years |
---|---|---|
feeling | 10 years | yesterday |
memory | priority |
I have a strong feeling that it’s only been a year since then. For me, the past year seems to be about ten years long.
On the other hand, when I look back 10 years ago, I remember just like yesterday.
Of course, over the last 10 years, I’ve been involved in a lot of big and small things.
In other words, when it comes to memory, things that give a strong impression are given priority. Because of the strong impression, we often remember the details of that information. That is why we illusion that the events of ancient times are as if they were yesterday.
So to me, the length of the past year has been a proof that nothing has been impressive.
In general, memories are not equal to each other and they are biased. Biased information is not accurate.
It is good to refer to past cases and precedents, but it is incorrect to believe the memory that left an impression as average information.
