Worked at an ironworks as a welder

I think the reality that manufacturing work causes physical damage should be improved as soon as possible.....

A boy muttered. He was 18 at that time. He worked at an ironworks as a welder.

He was in charge of electric welding. A high electric current is applied to the metal material, and the high temperature spark when short-circuited is used to locally melt and bond the metal material.

The sparks when the metal melts are beautiful, but the intensity of the light damages the eyeball. Therefore, it was obligatory to use light-shielding sunglasses.

However, shading sunglasses block strong light, but when used at normal brightness, nothing is visible.

For that reason, it is impossible to wear light-shielding sunglasses to check the welded parts.

Therefore, at the moment when the sparks fly, wear light-shielding sunglasses to protect the eyes. The procedure is simple, but in reality, no matter how quickly you wear light-shielding sunglasses, your eyes will see sparks for a moment.

In addition, unfortunately, unskilled electric welders can’t see the welds well, which increases the time they spend seeing sparks and causes more damage to their eyes.

Why are minors doing such dangerous work?

For a variety of reasons, many young people, regardless of age or gender, work on the manufacturing floor.

I? I like the manufacturing site. There is machine oil and a burnt smell, but I feel that the factory air is not bad.

For that reason, I think the reality that manufacturing work causes physical damage should be improved as soon as possible.
