I lost my Bluetooth earphones. The earphones had sturdy ear hooks.

The other day, when I searched inside my jacket pocket, I couldn’t find the Bluetooth earphone.
Of course I dropped it somewhere, but I don’t know where.
Even if I go looking for it, I would have to go looking for a very wide area, so I don’t feel like doing it.
Instead, I now use earphones connected to a Bluetooth receiver.
The Bluetooth receiver is slightly larger than the Bluetooth earphones, but the battery lasts longer.
Of course I regret losing my Bluetooth earphones.
But I have to admit that a Bluetooth receiver is handy.

How should alternatives be evaluated?
