To save on masks, Dallas County Sheriffs were instructed this week to disinfect the masks with alcohol or “Lysol.” The Dallas County Special Services Office noted that sheriffs should reuse masks until new masks arrive. It is unknown why such instructions were issued, contrary to recommendations from health care professionals. Although the memo does not specify the number of masks stocked, the departments say they have sufficient quantities for staff.

Increasing cases of COVID-19 infection, even in Dallas County Prison, could increase demand for masks among 900 staff members. According to the Sheriff’s Office, at least 22 prisoners have tested positive for COVID-19. Six detention staff, two clerks, and three staff also tested positive for coronavirus. Currently, the prison holds 5,047 inmates.
The Sheriff’s Office stated that it has a certain number of personal protective equipment but that it is not an unlimited quantity. Doctors working in prisons said spraying the mask with chemicals was not recommended.

When accepting this change, may a new society be born? It could be called a departmental society. In other words, society is transformed into a vertically divided organization. That would be a very efficient society.
People live in the vertical, not the horizontal
Rather than sharing something, society moves when something is commanded. They are the means to protect our own lives.
This measure is not appropriate, but is equivalent to medical staff responding to the lack of personal protective equipment at hospitals. The above is written in the memo. According to federal guidelines, thin surgical masks should usually only be worn once.
Dallas County Sheriff’s employees told to sanitize surgical masks with alcohol or Lysol… “This is not optimum but these are the same things that healthcare workers are having to (do) in response to the same shortages in their hospitals,” …
What’s the next person sitting on? Is there really such a question? There is. For example, the workplace is divided into departments, each specialized. Everyone doesn’t know what other departments are doing or how. We have simple knowledge but do not deeply recognize. Vertical organization?
There is no lateral connection
In addition, even within a department, detailed procedures may not be shared between personnel. If the information is strictly controlled, everyone will not know more.
Nowadays, it is necessary to keep a distance of at least 2 meters between the neighbors. That happened suddenly. Even conversations with close friends have become difficult. Shaking hands, hugging, ridiculous. Now it looks like we have been partitioned. Everything will not change that way, but everything will go in that direction. A society where individuals are physically separated and connected online. Skinship will also be a taboo to protect our own lives.
That's it for today's post. Thank you
