Grow up looking at mountains from the time I was born

But he doesn’t think he’s doing anything inefficient.....

A young man moves to a small town to start a new life. When he started living in the town, he discovered one thing.

“What surprised me was that you can see the mountains from this town.”
He was born and raised in a place where mountains cannot be seen. Of course, he also had knowledge of mountains. But he had never seen a real mountain.

How should minorities be defined?
The definition of minority should be based on social position, not on quantitative relativity.
In other words, minorities are formed not by quantitative relativity, but by the bias in social dominance.
Of course, the definition of majority is also a concept formed by the bias of social control.

“Are mountains unusual for you? I grew up looking at mountains from the time I was born, so living with a view of mountains is natural.”
She cannot imagine life without mountains. Originally, he, she, and us, their basic way of thinking does not change even if new experiences increase.
The young man has found a new job and drives to work from his home. Every morning he goes over the mountain to work in a small town nearby.

Is majority an objective concept?
So the division of majority and minority is a subjective matter. You could even pick one or the other arbitrarily if you prefer.

“Hey! Do you commute over the mountains from that town? Good job.”
He doesn’t quite understand what she’s saying. Of course, it may be inefficient to drive for two hours almost every morning.
But he doesn’t think he’s doing anything inefficient.
