Are new things always fascinating?

what should we do to survive this recession even more? ....

One small business seems to be taking some steps to survive the current recession.

charm
new
rotten
grades
no correlation

Is discussion effective for problem solving?

There is a shared awareness throughout the workplace that the current procedure cannot be continued due to poor business conditions.
No particular meetings have been held, but some people who feel a sense of crisis have had a light discussion about new ways to go.
However, it is clear that when multiple people consult, only democratic and mediocre conclusions can be drawn.
If a prominent leader advocates a breakthrough approach, it may be recognized as an innovative idea.
But no one can find such a nice leader here, and first of all, no one wants to be in that position.
Thus, the conclusions reached by ordinary people in consultation are quite mediocre: let’s quantify the responsibilities and outcomes of each employee.

It goes without saying

that new things are always unique. If it doesn’t look strikingly individual, it won’t be rated as new.
There is no direct correlation between being attractive and being new, but we don’t think of such complexity.
People’s eye-catching charm is easily recognized as new. No more than that.
So we repeat our mistakes. Even the dusty, rotten charm we misunderstand as a new breakthrough.

As expected

dexterous and motivated servants get high scores and are praised.
No, no one really praises the top performers. And, surprisingly, even the top ones themselves.
Certainly, the responsibilities and grades of each employee were disclosed, so the workplace was filled with a certain amount of tension. In that sense, the new policy has had some effect.
However, the small gross profit produced by this effect is received by the entire workplace. Nothing is returned to each servant.
And everyone predicts that more new challenges will arise in half a year: what should we do to survive this recession even more?
